I absolutely love this place! The bartenders are so nice and they work very hard to make sure customers are served quickly. The Backyard Bar has great bands and DJs on weekends too. I also enjoy Music Bingo on Thursday nights. The patrons are so fun and I've made a lot of friends there. This is my favorite place to go!

We got married at the venue 5 minutes down the road from The Backyard Bar and decided to come here for our after party and we had a blast! The DJ was on point and so were the drinks. The staff was very friendly as well. Definitely recommend this bar!

Love coming to this bar as it’s close to my house and the bartenders are phenomenal- however the Friday night DJ is horrendous. Outwardly rude to regulars and customers, has made me and my other female friends uncomfortable, and has been directly disrespectful to my friends as paying customers. Has made me walk out on several occasions. If he’s replaced I’d be happier visiting more often.

This bar truly felt like stepping into the backyard of an old friend — just to sit, chill, talk, and enjoy a couple of good drinks. The name fits the vibe perfectly. Very cozy, homey, and relaxed, with absolutely no pretentiousness. It felt like a place where you come for a heartfelt conversation and a few solid, well-made brown spirits. The cocktails were amazing — prepared quickly, properly, and with real technique. The glasses were chilled with ice beforehand, which many bars skip, but it makes a big difference. Everything was done exactly the way it should be. The alcohol quality was excellent, and the female bartenders were genuinely pleasant and welcoming. There was also a live band playing — a female vocalist with guys on guitar — and it really felt like a group of old friends making music together. Very warm, soulful, and authentic atmosphere. A place you want to come back to.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hosted my husband’s surprise 50th birthday at Backyard Bar in Apex, and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredible — so friendly, helpful, and beyond accommodating. They made the entire night run smoothly, and our guests had the best time. Highly recommend this place for any event or night out!

All the people commenting about the volume only serve to show you how good of a time the bar is. The past two weeks they have steadily been decreasing the volume to adjust to the new developments. You people must be sooooo fun at parties. Rotating food trucks on the weekends keeps the food scene fresh. The Indian spot on location is awesome too! The staff is awesome, the events are fun every night of the week. Not to mention it is the cheapest place to drink in Wake county. Bring a smile, frown, problem or celebration and leave with a happy memory! Truly a great time all around!

I had such a fun time at The Backyard Bar. The laid-back outdoor vibe really lives up to the name—perfect for relaxing with friends. There’s plenty of space to hang out, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and lively without being overwhelming. Drinks are affordable and refreshing, and the staff is friendly and quick to serve. It’s a great spot for casual nights, games, and good music. If you’re looking for a chill place with great energy in the Apex area, this one’s definitely worth a visit!

We cannot say enough amazing things about The Backyard Bar! We held a celebration there after our November 2025 wedding! They went above and beyond to make our after-wedding celebration absolutely perfect. They generously provided our party a outdoor private space with our own bartender, which was incredibly kind and so appreciated. The live music created the best vibe and kept the energy going all night, and the bar staff was hands-down one of the highlights—so fun, so welcoming, and genuinely kind to every single guest. Everyone felt comfortable, celebrated, and taken care of. It was the perfect place to continue the celebration after our wedding, and we are so grateful to The Backyard Bar for being such a huge part of an unforgettable night. Highly, highly recommend! 🍻🎶

Great spot to hang out with friends in the evenings! The place has a really fun vibe, especially the backyard area with lively lighting, outdoor seating, and a great atmosphere. You can grab drinks inside and relax outside, which makes it perfect for a chill night out. There are also food trucks nearby, including an Indian food truck, so it’s easy to enjoy good food along with the drinks. The indoor atmosphere gets even better on weekends with live music and an energetic crowd. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy the evening.
